Refurbished vs New Aga Cookers

Choosing your perfect Aga Range Cooker can be difficult. One of the first choices you need to make is whether you go with a pre-owned, fully reconditioned or new model of cooker.

People decide to invest in an Aga Range Cooker for a whole range (pun intended) of reasons. They may want to relive childhood memories of cooking on an Aga Range Cooker with parents or grandparents. They may miss the comforting warmth of the kitchen on a cold, grey day. They may want to keep the classic design of a traditional kitchen or even urge for the nobility of Aga Range cooker ownership!

There are plenty reasons to buy an Aga range cooker direct from Aga Rangemaster Ltd, just as there are many reasons to buy a fully refurbished one. Hopefully the below will help you to reach your decision!

Brand New Aga Range Cookers.

  • Established American-Owned company.
  • Order from experienced sales people and customer support teams.
  • Processes and adherence to corporate policies and standards.
  • Subcontracted customer care company (RepairTech)
  • Newly forged cast iron - from a range of foundries.
  • Customer care plans available as an add-on sale.
  • Complex newer models with additional induction hob and conventional fan ovens.

Our Fully Reconditioned Aga Range Cookers

  • Supporting our small, family-operated businesses in Scotland.
  • Made and Built in the UK - no overseas imports or suppliers.
  • One point of contact from order to install.
  • No commission-driven sales teams.
  • Save around £7000 vs New
  • Newly enamelled front/top plates from an industry professional factory.
  • Greener option - no mining required for new cast iron to be forged.
  • No country-wide showrooms or factories, allowing a reduced price point.
  • Warranty included and upheld direct by us and our engineers - no complex outsourcing.

We only reconditioned the classic Heat-Storage Aga range cookers - deluxe or standard models as they are the most requested by you. We know these cookers inside and out and can virtually convert or build them in our sleep (challenge Steve to this, we'd love to see the outcome!). Our refurbished Aga range cookers (with the exception of our ElectricKit and eControl Conversion), operate like a traditional "always on" Aga range cooker.

We hope this narrows down your choices if you are trying to decide between a New Aga range cooker or a Reconditioned one. If you have any questions or need some more information to help you to decide - give us a call! We're happy to help.

Hello! Its the end of January as I write this, so I'm a tad late in our 'end of year' reporting, but December is our crazy month so things ran away from me. I've just finished our company reports for 2024 and I thought they'd be quite interesting for you to see (if you find charts and spreadsheets interesting like me).
