2024 Aga Cooker Reporting!

Hello! Its the end of January as I write this, so I'm a tad late in our 'end of year' reporting, but December is our crazy month so things ran away from me.

I've just finished our company reports for 2024 and I thought they'd be quite interesting for you to see (if you find charts and spreadsheets interesting like me).

Aga Cooker Conversions

It's been a busy year for us with our electric aga conversions. More and more, people are looking to move away from fossil fuels and towards a more controllable and flexible solution for their aga.

Our ElectricKit Conversions were our most popular with 56% of all our 2024 conversions choosing the system. It's not surprising, with the release of the Advanced version, along with their long standing reputation of being the most reliable system available.

eControl are close behind with 31% of user choice and the 'always on' 13amp system taking 13%.

Aga Cooker Sizes

This one took me by surprise! If I had to have guessed, I'd have chosen our 2 Oven models as the most popular but it looks like the 4 Oven models are a slight favourite.

The 4 Oven models are 1.5m wide and give you phenomenal cooking space with 4 large ovens and an extra 'warming plate'.

The 2 Oven and 3 Oven models are both 1m wide. The 2 Oven models are most popular with our flexible electric systems, as both ovens are temperature controllable so they give plenty of adjustment for day-to-day cooking.

Although the 3 Oven models are the youngest models we supply (and the most symmetrical!), they took last place with 17% of orders, but we'd guess that their higher price point might contribute to this!

Aga Cooker Fuel Systems

The popular fuel types have been a bit of a mixed bag in 2024.

Our ElectricKit Conversion system was our most popular at 31% of total order for fully refurbished aga cookers. Its flexibility, induction upgrades, reliability and ability to control running costs keeps it a firm favourite.

Our Oil Aga Cookers are always one of our top performing fuel types across Scotland (at 22% of all orders in 2024). Rural properties, farms and more off-grid locations almost always have an oil tank onsite. The main reasons for deciding against an efficient electric model, is the inability to operate during power cuts.

Our traditional gas and the 'always on' 13amp electric are tied in next place at 17% of total orders, with the eControl system behind at 13%.

So, I hope that little insight into our reporting was intriguing! There does seem to be a shift towards ElectricKit this year, which explains the results above, but the 'always on' models still have a place in aga-owners hearts. The lovely ambient heat, the always on convenience and the traditional "aga feel" is still a winner in the market.
