ESSE 1000X

The ENTERTAINER'S ACQUAINTANCE

Building on the 1000T, the 1000X has a large hotplate surround (for even more cooking space), as well as a three zone induction plate.

Get Started

What's the ESSE 1000X?

The ESSE 1000X is great for entertaining or multi-tasking. It's everything you could want in a range cooker! The three zone induction hob and larger hotplate cooking surface gives you plenty of room for all those pans, especially at Christmas time.

The ESSE 1000X has large square lids which double up as a backsplash when you're cooking on the hotplates.

Running from two 13amp plugs, and no venting requirements, it can be slotted in perfectly to create your dream kitchen.

ESSE 1000X Features

The ESSE 1000X

Both are completely controllable.

The top right hand oven is your main oven.

It has a 42 litre capacity and the ESSE integrated grill element inside.

The bottom right-hand oven is controllable.

Capable of roasting temperatures and even cooking, with the unique ESSE wrap around element design.

The bottom left-hand oven is your slow cook oven.

Ideal for slow stews or warming plates

ESSE 1000X Dimensions

Pre-Installation Requirements: No utilities should be located behind the cooker. Some minimum clearance gaps are required for airflow and maintenance - 10mm gap behind and 3mm each side. If your ESSE 1000X is to be placed next to combustible surfaces (or unprotected wood worktop), we recommend increasing the side clearances to 20mm each side.

The cooker should sit on a completely level surface - capable of supporting the 250kg weight.

Width: 985mm (plus 3mm gap each side)*

Depth: 640mm (plus 10mm gap behind).

Height: 900mm.

Total height for lid clearance: 1550mm

*increase to 20mm for combustible surfaces

If you need to raise the ESSE 1000X higher than 900mm, you can use packers underneath, or build up a formed plinth.

Esse 1000X Power Requirements

The ESSE 1000X runs from 2 x 13amp plug sockets.

Their unique Power Share Technology means that each "zone" of the cooker gets a full 3kW of power at one time. This is why the ovens can heat up to roasting temperature in 15 minutes, but the electric requirements are much simpler than other range cookers.

The ESSE cooker needs to be plugged into two separate, single sockets (not a double socket).

Your sockets would ideally be located to the left of the ESSE, and within 1m.

ESSE 1000X Running Costs

The ESSE 1000X has been designed to run 24/7, either at your set temperature, or at a very low slumber temperature. This makes sure the thick steel ovens are always saturated with heat and take minutes to get to full temperature, and use the power more efficiently.

Slumber mode is approximately 85c in the top oven and 30c in the bottom oven and hotplate.

The ESSE 1000X Running Costs

(Approximately) based on a tariff of 0.24p/kW:

Slumber 24/7:

4.4kW = £1.05 per day.

Maximum temp for 1hr a day (slumber for 23hrs):

9.4kW = £2.25 per day.

Ovens and Hotplate at full maximum temperature:

2.5kW = 0.60p per hour.

The induction hotplate is very efficient, and can be used day-to-day, to further reduce running costs.

ESSE 1000X Heat Up Times

The ESSE ovens have heat up times that will blow competition out of the water.

The cooker is designed to be left on at a very low slumber temperature. This slumber mode gives you roughly 85c in the top right hand oven and around 30c in the cast iron hotplate. This slumber mode keeps the ovens saturated with a little heat for faster heat up times and reduced moisture build-up, but the thick insulation blankets around the ovens give you minimal ambient heat to the room when on slumber. You always have the option to run your ovens at a higher temperature 24/7 for increased room heat.

The Power Share Technology sends a full 3kW of energy to whichever oven or hotplate needs it. If all the ovens and hotplates of your ESSE Cooker are switched on at the same time, the total 3kW of power will be shared between all the elements, so it's best to heat each "zone" separately.

From Slumber:

Top Oven to Roasting (240c) in 15 mins.

Bottom Oven to 175c in 15 mins.

Cast Iron Hotplate to 200c (Simmer) in 8 minutes.

Cast Iron Hotplate to 300c (Boiling) in 14 minutes.

From Cold:

We don't recommend turning your ESSE off, but if heating from stone cold:

Top Oven to Roasting in 30 mins.

Bottom Oven to cooking in 60 minutes.

Cast Iron Hotplate to cooking in 25 minutes.

Your induction hotplate gives you access to instant, flexible cooking.

ESSE 1000X Venting

Each model of ESSE cooker has independent steam vents located on the top of the cooker, for each oven. This means two things:

1. Your ESSE can be placed anywhere in your kitchen - no flue requirements.

2. You can control the moisture inside your oven. Close the vents for moisture-rich baking, or open for crispy roasting.
