ESSE 600T

SMALL BUT MIGHTY

The smallest model in the electric cooker range, the ESSE 600T houses the classic ESSE functions of a large oven, integrated grill and wrap around elements, but compacted into a neat 600mm wide piece of beauty.

What's the ESSE 600T?

The ESSE 600T is the amalgamation of flexible modern cooking, with the traditional elegance of an ESSE range.

You'll have two controllable ovens, with a large cast iron hotplate. All running from 1 x 13amp plug socket. Bringing your ESSE cooker into your existing kitchen has never been easier!

The ESSE 600T fits perfectly into existing standard cooker footprint - making it perfect to suit an existing kitchen design, or for those where space is at a premium!

ESSE 600T Features

The ESSE 600T

Insulated, circular domed hotplate lid.

Choose from a colour-matched lid or a chrome finish.

A solid cast iron hotplate.

Traditional and completely controllable.

The top oven is your main oven.

It has a 42 litre capacity and the ESSE integrated grill element inside.

The bottom oven is controllable.

Capable of roasting temperatures and all-round even cooking, with the unique ESSE wrap around element design.

Your controls are inside an external unit.

Place them on the worktop, or mount them to the wall for easy access.

ESSE 600T Dimensions

Pre-Installation Requirements: No utilities should be located behind the cooker. Some minimum clearance gaps are required for airflow and maintenance - 10mm gap behind and 3mm each side. If your ESSE 600T is to be placed next to combustible surfaces (or unprotected wood worktop), we recommend increasing the side clearances to 20mm each side.

The cooker should sit on a completely level surface - capable of supporting the 175kg weight.

Width: 595mm (plus 3mm gap each side)*

Depth: 640mm (plus 10mm gap behind).

Height: 900mm.

Total height for lid clearance: 1420mm

*increase to 20mm for combustible surfaces

If you need to raise the ESSE 600T higher than 900mm, you can use packers underneath, or build up a formed plinth.

Esse 600T Power Requirements

The ESSE 600T runs from 1 x 13amp plug socket.

The unique Power Share Technology means that each "zone" of the cooker gets a full 3kW of power when needed. This is one of the reasons the oven can heat up to roasting temperature in 15 minutes, but the electric requirements are much simpler than other range cookers.

Your socket would ideally be located to the left of the ESSE, and within 1m.

ESSE 600T Running Costs

The ESSE 600T has been designed to run 24/7, either at your set temperature, or at a very low slumber temperature. This makes sure the thick steel ovens are always saturated with heat and take minutes to get to full temperature, and use the power more efficiently.

Slumber mode is approximately 85c in the top oven and 30c in the bottom oven and hotplate.

The ESSE 600T Running Costs

Based on a tariff of 0.24p/kW:

Slumber 24/7:

4.4kW = £1.05 per day.

Maximum temp for 1hr a day (slumber for 23hrs):

9.4kW = £2.25 per day.

Ovens and Hotplate at full maximum temperature:

2.5kW = 0.60p per hour.

ESSE 600T Heat Up Times

The ESSE ovens have heat up times that will blow competition out of the water. The cooker is designed to be left 'always on' at a very low slumber temperature. This slumber mode gives you roughly 85c in the top right hand oven and around 30c in the cast iron hotplate - keeping ambient warmth manageable but heat up times fast.

The Power Share Technology send a full 3kW of energy to whichever oven or hotplate needs it. This means faster heat up times, but if multiple elements are turned on at the same time, this 3kW of power will be cycled between them - resulting in slower heat up times.

The approximate heat up times are:

From Slumber:

Top Oven from to roasting (240c) in 15 mins.

Bottom Oven to 175c in 15 mins.

Cast Iron Hotplate to 200c (Simmer) in 8 minutes.

Cast Iron Hotplate to 300c (Boiling) in 14 minutes.

From Cold:

We don't recommend turning your ESSE off, due to the risk of rust and condensation build up.

Top Oven to cooking in 45 mins

Bottom Oven to cooking in 60 minutes.

Cast Iron Hotplate to cooking in 25 minutes

ESSE 600T Venting

Each model of ESSE cooker has independent steam vents located on the top of the cooker, for each oven. This means two things:

1. Your ESSE can be placed anywhere in your kitchen - no flue requirements.

2. You can control the moisture inside your oven. Close the vents for moisture-rich baking, or open for crispy roasting.
