ELECTRICKIT "ADVANCED"

An Upgrade To The Classic

In September 2024, the 'ElectricKit Advanced' was released by manufacturer's "Oilwarm". It builds on the existing ElectricKit Classic Conversion System, with some slight upgrades and tweaks, for even more functionality.

From touchscreen displays, to the automatic temperature timers - it's a great step forward in the conversion market.

ElectricKit Advanced Control Panel

The ElectricKit Advanced System uses a touchscreen display instead of physical dials.

Some advantages of the control panel vs the ElectricKit Classic system, include:

  • Full touchscreen display.
  • Ability to mount the display externally, for easier access.
  • View your current oven temperatures.
  • Hotplates automatically reduce in temperature if accidentally left on high with the lids closed - reducing the risk of repairs.
  • Remotely control the oven temperatures via a Mobile App.
  • Set a 'rest' temperature for in-between cooking periods, for reduced running costs and improved heat up times.
  • External fan control, for assisted oven venting to the outside.

'ElectricKit Advanced' Timer

If you're looking to reduce your running costs and set your aga cooker ovens to automatically switch on and off, the ElectricKit Advanced has an in-built timer and remote operation via an App.

Features of the ElectricKit Advanced include:

  • Automatically schedule each oven to turn on or off.
  • Available on the touchscreen, or the mobile app.
  • View your current oven temperatures.
  • Adjust your current oven temperatures.
  • Use a 'rest' or 'slumber' setting in-between cooking periods.
  • Up to 10 set periods per day.

We recommend using fewer on/off periods per day, and using the rest temperatures in-between, similar to the Everhot and the efficient Esse Range Cookers. This stops your ovens cooling completely, reducing the risk of rust from condensation, and giving a gentle background heat. This will also reduce the energy needed to power back up, and allow faster heat up times.

The ElectricKit uses the Remote App "Smart Life - Smart Living", available for iOS or Android.

"ElectricKit Advanced" Hotplate Upgrades

There's now a ceramic hob upgrade option, alongside the standard induction hob upgrade. Your standard "ElectricKit Advanced" comes with 1 x 2.2kw solid hotplate as standard, which gives you slightly faster heat up times and a larger design. This can be replaced with either of the upgrade options.

Solid Hotplate

  • 2200w.
  • Included in Left-Hand Hotplate as standard.
  • Can replace the LH, RH or both hobs.
  • Simmer Temp in 10 minutes. Boiling in 13 minutes.
  • Automatically reduces in temperature if left on accidentally.
  • Controlled via the digital control panel.

Radiant (Ceramic) Hob

  • Electric Ceramic Hob.
  • Expanding-Zone Element.
  • Can replace the LH, RH or both hobs.
  • Automatically reduces in temperature if left on accidentally.
  • Controlled via the digital control panel.

Induction Hob

  • 1600w or 3000w
  • Instant Single-Zone Induction.
  • Can replace LH only (due to the heat from the ovens).
  • Internal fan to cool during/after use.
  • Controlled via the touch buttons on the hob surface.

ElectricKit Advanced - Electric Requirements

The electric requirements depend on which model and configuration you're looking for. Each electric connection point must be directly next to the aga cooker.

Our unique pre-conversion guide goes into more details on what is required for the system, with diagrams and electric setups.

2 Oven ElectricKit Advanced System:

1 x 32amp supply.

4 Oven ElectricKit Advanced System:

1 x 32amp supply (standard hotcupboard).

1 x 40amp supply (high-temperature hotcupboard).

If you opt for the 1.6kW induction hob upgrade, you don't need any additional electric points - it ties into the standard ElectricKit control panel.

The 3kw Induction, and Radiant Hob require a separate 13amp socket to plug into, or you can upgrade your ElectricKit supply cable to a 40amp.

  • One 2.2kw hotplate included as standard, for faster heat up times.
  • Ability to upgrade BOTH hotplates to ceramic hobs if required.
  • Hotplates automatically reduce in temperature if accidentally left on for prolonged periods - reducing the risk of hotplate repairs.
  • Programmable 'rest' period to put your cooker into a 'slumber' mode for reduced running costs and faster heat up times.
  • Fan integration for complex venting systems.
  • Touchscreen display can be mounted externally (additional charge).

ElectricKit Advanced - 4 Oven Upgrades

The ElectricKit Advanced offers an upgraded 'high temperature Hot Cupboard' unit, for 4 oven models.

This upgrade turns your normal Simmering Oven (Top Left Oven), into a controllable oven with a maximum temperature of 250c (higher than normal roasting temperatures). This oven can also be used with the in-built timer and app control. Your bottom left oven will automatically sit around 20-30c cooler than the oven above.

The main benefit of this "high-temp HC" is the fast heat up times. Due to the steel construction, the oven heats much quicker than the main cast iron ovens, giving you an additional Roasting Oven in as little as 36 minutes.

There are a couple of other upgrades available with 4 Oven Models:

Controllable Warming Plate

Turn your warming plate on or off when needed. With this ElectricKit Advanced Upgrade, there's no need to turn your whole left hand section on, in order to use your warming plate. Even more flexibility!

Radiant (Ceramic) Hobs

A 2-Zone Ceramic Hob, neatly nestled into the existing warming plate opening. This operates separately from the main hotplates, with two zones of instant cooking ability.
